맛을 잃지 않는 소금

 

누가복음 14:34-35

하나님의 자녀들은 세상의 빛과 소금이 됩니다.

그들의 마음속에 예수님의 마음이 자리하고, 영원을 사랑하는 마음이 있을 때 더욱 그렇습니다.

 

소금이 제 역할을 하듯, 우리도 각자의 자리에서 예수님의 마음을 배우고 닮아가며, 그분의 사랑을 삶으로 나타낼 때 하나님 보시기에 참된 소금의 역할을 하는 것입니다. 그러나 그렇지 못할 때, 우리의 영혼은 점점 더 심각한 문제에 빠지게 됩니다.

 

하나님께서는 예수님을 가리켜 *"내가 가장 기뻐하는 아들"*이라고 말씀하셨습니다. 그런 예수님을 닮아가는 삶은 곧 하나님을 가장 기쁘게 해드리는 일이 될 것입니다.

 

세상의 많은 일들과 삶의 무게가 우리를 지치게 하고, 때로는 예수님을 배우고 닮아가는 일에 소홀해질 수도 있습니다.

하지만 매일 하나님의 말씀을 구하며 의지하는 마음을 잃지 않는다면, 하나님께서는 우리가 다시금 예수님을 깊이 알아가고 닮아갈 수 있도록 도와주실 것입니다.

 

Salt that retains its flavor

 

Luke 14:34-35

God’s children are the light and salt of the world.

When their hearts hold Jesus’ heart and a love for eternity, they truly shine as light and work as salt.

 

Just as salt fulfills its purpose, we also fulfill our purpose when we learn from Jesus, follow His heart, and live out His love in our daily lives. But when we fail to do so, Our soul falls into a more serious problem.

 

God said about Jesus, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Becoming more like Jesus is the way to bring the greatest joy to God.

 

The burdens of life and the worries of this world may make us tired and slow to follow Jesus.

But if we do not lose our desire to seek and trust His Word every day, God will help us grow closer to Jesus and become more like Him.
