마음이 향하는 곳

 

누가복음 19장 1-10절

세리 삭개오는 예수님이 어떤 분이신지 보고 싶었지만, 키가 작고 사람들이 많아 예수님을 볼 수 없었습니다.

그래서 그는 예수님이 지나가시기 전에 달려가 돌무화과나무 위로 올라갔습니다.

그 나무 위는, 그의 작은 키와 많은 사람들로 인한 모든 장애물들이 작아지고 멀어지는 곳이었습니다.

그리고 바로 그때, 예수님께서 삭개오를 보셨습니다.

삶에도 참 많은 문제들이 있습니다. 변명도 많고, 여러 이유들도 있습니다.

그렇지만 나에게도 삭개오가 올라갔던 그런 곳이 있습니다.

어떤 문제도, 어떤 이유도, 어떤 변명도 나를 막지 못하는 곳,

바로, 하나님께 내 마음이 향하는 그 자리와 그 시간입니다.

어디에서든, 언제든, 마음이 하나님을 향하는 그 시간을 소중히 여기며 살고 싶습니다.

 

Where my heart turns

 

In Luke 19:1–10

Zacchaeus, a tax collector, wanted to see who Jesus was.

But he was short and there were too many people, so he couldn’t see Him.

So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to see Jesus before He passed by.

Up in that tree, all the problems, such as his short height and the crowd, became smaller and farther away.

And at that moment, Jesus looked up and saw Zacchaeus.

In life, there are many problems, many excuses and reasons.

But I also have a place, just like the one Zacchaeus climbed.

It’s a place where no problem, excuse, or reason can stop me.

That is the place and the moment when my heart turns toward God.

Wherever I am, whenever it is, I want to cherish the moments when my heart turns toward God.
