기적을 볼수있는 마음

​

누가복음 9:12-17.

여기에는 예수님이 외딴 곳에서 오천 명을 먹이신 이야기가 나옵니다.

제자들은 예수님께서 그렇게 많은 사람들을 먹이실 것이라고 예상하지 않았던것같습니다.

왜냐하면 사람들을 마을로 보내어 먹을 것을 구하게 하자고 말씀드렸으니까요

그들이 이렇게 말했을 때, 예수님은 "너희가 그들에게 먹을 것을 주라"고 대답하셨습니다.

저는 예수님께서 제자들에게 이렇게 말씀하신 것에 감사하고 있습니다.

이 말씀이 이상하게 들렸을 수도 있지만, 아마도 그 말씀은 제자들이 자신의 생각과 계획이 예수님의 것과 다르다는 것을 깨닫게 해주고, 스스로 방법을 찾으려 하기보다는 자신들이 가진 것을 먼저 예수님께 가져오도록 도와주는, 그들의 마음을 깨우기 위한 말씀이었던 것 같습니다.

그렇다면 왜 제자들은 예수님이 사람들을 먹이실 것이라고 처음부터 생각하지 않았을까요?

예수님께서 그 전에 많은 기적들을 행하셨음을 이미 보았음에도 불구하고 말입니다.

저도 가끔은, 능력 있는 하나님이시라는 확신을 여러 번 가졌음에도불구하고, 하나님의 답을 먼저 구하려하지않습니다.

오히려 내 문제와 우울함을 해결하려 마음이 바빠지게 됩니다.

생각해보면, 이것은 매우 자연스러운 인간의 마음일 것입니다.

예수님은 아마도 그때 제자들을 지켜보셨듯이, 제 마음과 생각도 옆에서 지켜보고 계셨을 것입니다.

제자들의 마음은 그렇게 많은 사람들이 배고파하는 모습을 보고 복잡하고 바빴을 것입니다. 외딴 곳에서 오천 명을 먹이는 일은 엄청난 일이었으니까요.

비록 제자들이 처음부터 예수님께 도움을 구하지 않았지만, 예수님은 그들을 책망하지 않으셨고, 오히려 그들의 마음을 열도록 도와주시며 자연스럽게 자신들의 상태를 얘기하도록 하셨습니다.

제자들이 그들이 가진 것을 예수님께 가져왔을때, 예수님은 그 기적을 이루셨습니다.

​

오천 명을 먹이는 기적은 정말 엄청난 기적이었습니다.

그러나 그 기적이 가능하도록 제자들의 마음을 인도하신 예수님의 자비에 저는 감동합니다.

​

다시 한 번 깨닫습니다.

하나님이 제게 원하시는 것은 사람의 눈에 보이는 큰 일이 아니라, 제 마음을 열고 모든 것을 하나님 손에 맡기는 것입니다.

하나님이 일하시기 위해서는 우리의 마음이 기적을 볼 준비가 되어 있어야 합니다.

우리는 자주 어리석고 연약해집니다. 우리는 자주 잊어버리고 다른 곳을 바라봅니다.

예수님은 친절하게 내가 잊은 것을 깨닫게 해주시고, 내가 가야 할 길을 인도해 주시고자 하십니다.

내 마음을 조용히 하고, 그 인도를 깨닫고 따르길 노력하며, 내 마음에서 이루어지는 하나님의 기적을 볼수있길 바랍니다.

A Heart to See Miracles

Luke 9:12-17.

Here, there is a story where Jesus fed five thousand people in a remote place.

The disciples probably did not expect Jesus to feed so many people, because they suggested sending the people to the villages to find food for themselves.

When they told this to Jesus, He replied, "You give them something to eat."

​

I am thankful to Jesus for saying this to the disciples. It might have sounded strange, but perhaps those words were very helpful to the disciples in making them realize that their thoughts and plans were different from Jesus's. Rather than trying to find a solution on their own, it seems that this was a message to help them bring what they had to Jesus first, awakening their hearts.

​

I wondered why the disciples didn’t first think that Jesus would feed these people, even after they had seen many miracles Jesus performed before that.

​

Even though I have been convinced many times that God is all-mighty, there are times when I don't seek His answer first. Instead, I make my heart busy trying to find a solution for my troubled heart and my problems. If I think about it, this seems like a very natural human mind.

​

Jesus must have been watching my heart and thoughts from the side, just as He watched His disciples at that time.

The disciples’ hearts must have been busy and complicated when they saw that many people hungry, even in a remote place. Feeding five thousand people was a huge task.

​

Although the disciples didn’t seek Jesus's help from the beginning, He didn’t scold them.

Instead, He helped open their hearts and allowed them to naturally speak about their own condition.

When the disciples brought what they had to Jesus, He performed the miracle.

​

The miracle of feeding five thousand people was a tremendous miracle. However, I am touched by Jesus' mercy in guiding the hearts of the disciples to make that miracle possible.

​

I realize again that What God wants from me is not a great work visible to people. He simply wants me to open my heart honestly and place everything in His hands, no matter what it is.

In order for God to work, our hearts must be ready to see the miracle. We often become foolish and weak. We often forget and look elsewhere. Jesus kindly wants to help me realize what I’ve forgotten and guide me in the right direction.

I want to quiet my heart to recognize and follow His guidance, so that I can see the miracle of God taking place in my heart
