조용히 나를 찾으시는 음성

 

누가복음 15:4

“너희 중에 어느 사람이 양 일백 마리가 있는데 그 중에 하나를 잃으면 아흔 아홉 마리를 들에 두고 그 잃은 것을 찾도록 찾아 다니지 아니하느냐”

 

백 마리 중 아흔아홉 마리가 있는데, 나머지 한 마리를 애타게 찾아 나서는 마음은 백 마리의 양 모두를 정말 내 자식처럼 사랑하지 않고서는 쉽지 않을 것 같습니다.

목자는 그 잃어버린 양 하나가 왜 길을 잃었는지 따지지 않는 것 같습니다.

잃어버렸기 때문에, 그리고 그 양이 자기 것이기 때문에, 그저 찾으십니다.

하나님의 마음이 이와 같으시다는 사실이 참 감사합니다.

지금 내게 필요한 건, 주저앉아 내 죄가 얼마나 크고 작은지를 따져보는 일이 아니라, 나를 부르시는 그 음성에 최선을 다해 응답하는 것입니다.

 

요한복음 10장 4절에 보면, 양들은 그의 음성을 아는 고로 그를 따라간다고 합니다.

그 음성을 듣고 따라갈 때, 어떻게 가야 하는지, 어디로 가야 하는지, 출구는 어디인지, 얼마나 더 가야 하는지를 고민하며 마음을 빼앗길 필요는 없습니다.

그저 조용히, 나를 찾으시는 그 음성에 집중하고, 계속 따라가며, 끊임없이 반응하는 일에 내 마음을 다하고 싶습니다.

 

The Gentle Voice Seeking Me

 

Luke 15:4

“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?”

 

Even though ninety-nine out of a hundred sheep are there, going out to desperately search for the one that is lost would not be easy unless the shepherd truly loves all one hundred sheep as if they were his own children.

It seems the shepherd does not question why that one sheep got lost.

He searches for it because it is lost and because it belongs to him.

 

I am truly thankful that God's heart is like this.

What I need now is not to just sit down and think about how big or small my sins are, but to do my best to respond to the voice that is calling me.

 

In John 10:4, it says the sheep follow the shepherd because they know his voice.

When we hear His voice and follow it, we do not need to worry about how to go, where to go, where the exit is, or how far we still have to go.

 

I simply want to focus on His voice, the voice of the One who is searching for me, and keep following Him, giving my whole heart to responding again and again.
